The child labor, in today’s era has become one of the most considerable issue of our country. To know that who are actually considered as the child labors we all must know a specific criteria that has been prescribed by the government for this purpose.

The laborers below the age of 14 are called as child labors. As per the facts determined by the statistical data we can unfortunately say that India has the maximum number of child labor of the world. Most of the child labor are involved or we can say that they are engaged in works of foresting, agriculture etc . Even in the urban areas children work in restaurents, dhabas as helpers or cleaners. Along with that educated people hire them as servants for their household or domestic chores. As a result of this they suffer long working hours and unhygienic working conditions for almost fewer wages.

If we discuss about the reason behind the child labor, poverty comes first in the list. Children born in poor families are not only forced to work for their own livelihood, but also for their family.

Although government is spreading a lot of awareness about making the children educated but it is a bitter truth of India that it has a bulk of poverty and that is why child labor scale is not diminishing. However, Indian Constitution prohibits the trafficking in human beings but there are unknown factors that are just not letting this happen. At last we must know that children are the important asset. Educating a child can only be a solution for solving this issue. Only then, India can fight against the heinous crime of CHILD LABOR.
