Kahoot and Quizizz both are used to create Quiz and to assess Students’ learning. But there are some differences in way of implementation of quiz created by these two applications. The differences are as follows:
- Kahoot Quiz in case of Host live requires a class or group of students with their own devices, also sitting at same place and a display Screen. The Host live Quiz created by Quizizz can be implemented on a single student or a group of students sitting at distinct places and it doesn’t require any display screen.
- Kahoot assigns the marks on the basis of speed and accuracy both while Quizizz can assign the marks only on the basis of accuracy.
- If the quiz is created by Quizizz then the questions and their multiple choice options (in case of multiple type questions) can be shuffled. In this way this type of quiz decreases the chances of cheating if the students are sitting at one place. While if the quiz is created by Kahoot then this function of shuffling is not possible and also as the students sit at the same place nearby each other so the chances of cheating increase in case of this type of Quiz.
- Immediate Individual motivation and feedback on each question is possible in the quiz created by Quizizz with the help of memes. This feature of immediate individual motivation is not available in Kahoot Quiz in case of Host live. It shows only the performance scores of first five top scorers.
There are also some similar features in Kahoot and Quizizz like;
- Both applications have ‘Flashcards’ feature. The learner can review his knowledge with the help of these Flashcards.
- Both applications have ‘Challenge’ feature. The learner can study with his/her peers using this feature.
- Opinion can be gathered with the help of polls by both applications.
