Well, both of them are Diploma courses in Education, D.Ed stands for Diploma in Education and D.El.Ed stands for Diploma in Elementary Education, After 2015, the course (D.Ed) has been changed to D.El.Ed and now only graduates can apply for this course. The course has been projected to improve elementary education.
- D.El.Ed course is technically an elementary teacher training course, specially designed to teach effectively to the primary class students.
- From 2015 onwards we use both the names D.Ed and D.El.Ed as the courses are the same that’s diploma in Elementary education.
- Both the courses have a similar syllabus and course structure and also offer similar job opportunities.
- After completing this course D.Ed. or D.El.Ed students become eligible to work at elementary level schools.
- After completing these courses, one can apply for the Teachers Eligibility Test ( TET), for Paper 1 ( primary level).
