In the present scenario when we talk about the effectiveness and quality of teachers, we should focus on the training programmes for the teachers. We should apply Innovative approaches in different labs of B.Ed and D.El.Ed Programme.
Modern and Innovative approaches are used in the Science Labs of B.Ed and D.El.Ed Programme at IPEM College, Ghaziabad. The Constructive Approach is applied to facilitate, support and to encourage students. The Experimental Method and Demonstration Method are also used for developing a broad understanding of the principles and procedures used in modern science education. The information about the intellectual and technological base of scientific knowledge is provided to the students so that they can create a functional understanding of generalize concepts of science and develop a basic knowledge of the nature and importance of scientific enterprise.
The training about awareness of different methods of teaching science, the demonstration for Internship, sufficient instructional experiences and for using ICT in science teaching is provided to the students. The students are motivated to Construct New Knowledge through Exploring, Explaining and Elaborating their own Experiences, Ideas, and Thinking. The student-centered learning is focused at IPEM where students actively engage in their learning process. The teacher engages students by guiding whole group discussions, asking students to explain what they have learned by working together in small groups to complete projects or tasks.
Students inquire, work together, form hypotheses, and learn about new ideas and concepts on their own before coming together as a whole class. Students develop an idea of what they may think an object or idea is, and then explores it further to see if their idea was accurate. Students use tools such as textbooks, the internet, scientific instruments, and their creative minds to explore new concepts. The students define and explain the current concept using their own words. The students accomplish this using informational readings, group discussions, and teacher interaction. Learners support each other by sharing their ideas, observations, questions, and hypotheses.
