Students of AKTU will now remain updated regarding job opportunities offered by colleges through a website.

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will soon launch a website to keep its engineering and management students informed about various job fairs and recruitment drives organized in various state colleges. Website to be launched in September; the website will enable students to register online for job fairs.

“Most of the times students miss out the job opportunities because of lack of information about campus placement drives, interviews and job fairs. With the website, even if a student misses a job opportunity at his/her college, they can approach another college,” said AKTU spokesperson Ashish Mishra.

He also said that the website will be of great help to students as it will inform them about placement drives being conducted at other colleges in different cities.

“Students will no longer have to find out about job fairs on their own. All information about placement and training opportunities in institutes affiliated to AKTU will be uploaded on the website,” said vice-chancellor Vinay Kumar Pathak.

He said that the website will also offer massive open online courses (MOOCs) to help students prepare for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and other competitive examinations.

The university will upload model examination papers on the website, which will also offer tips on appearing for interviews and question banks on various national and international topics.
